A smoke meter is an instrument that measures the smoke in the exhaust gas of a car. It is mainly used for the determination of exhaust gas from diesel engines. Use a piston pumping pump to extract a certain volume of exhaust gas from the exhaust pipe of the diesel engine at a specified time, and make it pass through a certain area of filter paper, and the soot particles in the exhaust are trapped on the filter paper and dyed black. The absorbance of the filter paper is measured with a photoelectric measuring device, which indicates the magnitude of the smoke in the exhaust. The smoke meter is mainly composed of a piston pump, a sampling device and a photoelectric measuring device. The measurement is generally repeated 3 times, and the arithmetic mean is obtained as the measured smoke value. The smoke value ranges from 0-10, the smoke level is zero for blank filter paper and 10 smoke for all black filter paper.
At present, the structure of SV series smoke meter mainly adopts a split structure, that is, the measurement and control unit are separated, so that in order to facilitate operation, there are generally two readings of opacity and light absorption coefficient, the display mode has LCD or LED two ways, can be measured in a free acceleration state or instantaneous measurement, need a built-in printer for printing and query, configure RS-232C digital serial communication interface.
